Grenada High School Student Involved in Fatal Accident

Grenada High School is mourning the loss of one of its students who was involved in a fatal accident over the weekend.

18-year-old Samantha Rankin was killed in a single car accident in Memphis on Sunday.

Details surrounding the accident are unclear at this time, but Dr. David Daigneault says in a statement,

"Samantha was a wonderful student, and a great individual who was involved in many areas of school life.

As a former band director I particularly enjoyed her performances as our senior drum major of the Grenada Band. Our school community deeply feels this loss and we are requesting prayers for her family, her many friends and her teachers. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her."
