As we head into the twelve lucky students were drawn to receive turkey and other Thanksgiving dishes today. Mars foods partner with the Mississippi delta community college in collecting and giving out bags with a complete thanksgiving meal to twelve students. This was all part of the Greenville higher education center's two day harvest festival.

Mayor Errick Simmons along with the Dean and President of Mississippi Delta Community College all gave remarks and spoke about how much of a blessing it is to give back to their community. The college wanted to show their love and give the students a special meal.

Linda: "We have chosen to bless our students with these 12 totes of food for the holidays. It means a great deal to us to be able to share with our students and show them that we love them beyond them coming to school getting an education here at Mississippi delta community college."

Six students were drawn today and six more will be drawn tomorrow. The college hopes thats the students will share with their friends and family this holiday season.
