An Arkansas woman is sworn in to 'The Board of Visitors for the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and Arts.'

Dr. Marlene Stanton-Battle, is originally of Eudora, Arkansas and has been appointed to the position by Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson.

Battle will hold the position for seven years in Little Rock, Dr. Stanton-Battle said she's honored to have been selected and appointed to the post.

Tenth Judicial Circuit Judge Quincey Ross officiated the swearing in ceremony.
