Art Comp.

Congressman Bennie Thompson held his Annual Congressional Art Competition on yesterday.

The Congressional Art Competition was open to all high school students within Thompson's district.

Each winner will have a chance to have artwork displayed in the US Capitol for one year.

The competition was held at Greenville High School.

L.J Smith from Greenville High School took home first place with his portrait of the late rapper Nipsey Hussle. Second place went to Charles Young, a student at Power APAC in Jackson. Third place went to Triston Hathrock of Riverside High School.

Each winner recieved a trophy and Smith will receive an expenses-paid trip for two to Washington, DC, where he will compete for an arts scholarship.
