Copper

Greenville authorities on the lookout for suspects responsible for cutting phone lines for copper.

The Greenville Police Department asking for the public's help locating those responsible.

Earlier this month, a resident on 6th street contacted AT&T and local police to report her mother's phone lines had been cut around Mother's day. The resident says her mom hasn't had a land line since.

Assistant Police Chief Michael Merchant confirms the lines in the neighborhood had been cut and are more than likely being sold in exchange for money.

Anyone with information in the case is urged to call the Greenville Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
