The Washington County Economic Alliance beats other counties in the nation by taking first place it the ACT Work Ready Community Certification program. Washington County met all of the criteria required to reach The Third Maintenance Tier to retain their ACT Work Ready Community Certification. WCEA is the first participating County in the United States to achieve third tier certification. The program tests three different types of groups in the county. The first are those in high school and college; the second group are those currently employed and the final group are those transitioning from unemployment and the military.
