Mr. Raymond Wong suffered a stroke in 2004 that left the right side of his body numb. After regaining his strength, he rode a golf cart and a Segway back and forth to work everyday until one day he decided it was time to drive again.

The Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation has been assisting Mr. Wong in different ways since the stroke and have now helped him to drive again.

He went through a driver evaluation and was given a driver partner from MDRS. Six months later, he was behind the wheel.

Mr. Wong's car has a left acceleration paddle for him to drive easier.

The former restaurant owner says, "I never think about it as a disability because I live a pretty normal life."

Mr. Wong has been employed at St. Joseph Catholic High School for six years.
