The Greenville Fire Department hosting its 3rd Annual Fire Academy.

This week, some Greenville students have made Station 8 their classroom, training to be junior firefighters while learning different skills and safety requirements.

This morning, the students participated in the fireman's obstacle course to see how fit they really are. Greenville firemen also took time to teach the students the proper way to extinguish a fire; The students then grabbed the water hose and went to work.

Tomorrow is the camp's final day after a week of fun and learning.

Organizers say this camp just isn't for those who want to become firemen, it's a good experience to learn what first responders do on a daily basis.
