Former Missouri swimmer Fabian Schwingenschlögl advanced to the semifinal of the 100-meter breaststroke at the Olympics. He was one of 16 swimmers to qualify.

Schwingenschlögl, representing Germany, advanced with a time of 59.49 seconds. He won a national championship in the event with Missouri in 2016.
