Hurricane Sally made landfall at 4:45 AM this morning as a category 2 hurricane near Gulf Shores, Alabama. Due to the easterly track, the Mississippi coast dodged a bullet. However, historic flooding and widespread damage and power outages will continue to impact the Gulf coast. As for the Delta, a few scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon with wind gusts potentially reaching 20-25 mph.
